The Veiled Rebecca

Time bride stepped gently at the clock struck,
Hall and wall in its most beautiful decoration,
Cheerful crowd dressed up in their best attire,
Symphony of saxophone, cello and keyboard,
Slipped their feet’s, carried them for a dance.

The lip smacking aroma drove all to the table,
The scanful I-rays penetrated deeply the veil,
They all gathered, danced, feasted & enjoyed,
But why is this celebration and all this party?

Eyelids fluttered to conceal the melancholy,
Lips struggled for shaping the smile curve,
Everything within becoming numb silently,
Stood there as breathing statue of captivity,
Though wishes, dreams arrived apparently.

The lip smacking aroma drove all to the table,
The scanful I-rays penetrated deeply the veil,
They all gathered, danced, feasted & enjoyed,
Why is this celebration, for whom is the party?
